HIGHWAY LOCAL PROJECTS COORDINATOR, NEBRASKA DEPARTMENT OF ROADS, 2010 to present

              -Plan, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate local projects from initiation, PE design, NEPA

documentation, ROW acquisition, Letting and Construction engineering phases.

              -Ensure Local Public Authorities (LPA Municipalities, Counties) comply with all federal and State

              laws during the design, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance, Right of Way

              Acquisition and Letting of approved Federal Aid Projects in Nebraska for the Metropolitan Area

              Planning Agency in Omaha.

 

              Responsible for executing the annual Obligation Authority for the City of Omaha: $16 million

 

Write and monitor legal agreements and contracts and conduct procurement activities for LPA

federal aid projects between Nebraska Department of Roads and LPAs, consultants, railroads,

and utility companies.

 

Request obligation of federal benefits after approving documentation of plans and estimates

and procurement activities during project development phases; design, NEPA, ROW acquisition,

HIGHWAY ROW ACQUISTION AGENT, NEBRASKA  DEPARTMENT OF ROADS, 2009-2010

              -Perform technical and administrative work in property acquisition, relocation assistance and

property management for the Nebraska Department of Roads; performs related work as

required.

              -Assist local governments with right-of-way acquisition, relocation assistance and property

management involving federal funds to ensure compliance with federal regulations to preserve

federal aid eligibility.

-Negotiate terms and conditions of leases for state owned right-of-way, including advertising,

interviewing prospective leases, credit checks, and performance monitoring.
